Who we are

firmdata.org is run by Akbar Odilov, Kanalstrasse 6, 5734 Reinach AG, Switzerland, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@firmdata.org.

Directors named in our lists

What we use. From the public Companies House register: a company director's name, role and appointment date. We do not use home addresses, dates of birth, nationality or any other personal detail.

Why. To sell lists of companies that have just changed their leadership to businesses that offer those companies their services, such as recruiters and suppliers.

Lawful basis. Our legitimate interests and those of the businesses that buy the lists (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The data is already public, it concerns people only in their role as company directors, and the use is business to business.

Who receives it. Businesses that buy a list.

How long. Each list is built fresh from the register when it is made. We keep a copy of a delivered list for 12 months to answer questions about it, then delete it.

Your choices. You can object at any time and we will leave you out of every future list. You can also ask for access to, correction of or erasure of your data. Email hello@firmdata.org.

Businesses we contact or sell to

When we email a business about our lists, or a business buys one, we keep the work contact details of the people we deal with (name, work email, company, the messages exchanged) to run that relationship. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. We keep them for up to 24 months after our last contact. Every email we send lets you opt out, and we honour it at once.

Service providers

We use providers for email, our customer records, payments and hosting this site. They process data on our behalf only.

International transfers

firmdata.org is run from Switzerland, which the UK recognises as giving adequate protection to personal data.

Complaints

Please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK (ico.org.uk) or to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland.
